Grand Liban “G. L.”

The first fiscal stamp that featured Greater Lebanon was issued in 1921. It was based on the French Quittance stamp of 1914, featuring a medallion on the left. This stamp was overprinted vertically in black with the text “G. L. Grand Liban” and had a denomination of 2 piasters (P.S. 2). This marked the beginning of distinct fiscal stamps for Greater Lebanon under the French Mandate.
